True Values?

Hi, life is difficult. There is no doubt of that. I have been alone for nine years since my husband's death and joined a dating site. I am Christian and 47. I've made some friends on this site, but I am deflated by how superficial people can be. They seem more concerned with appearances than character. It's not that I'm unattractive, but I really just wish to have someone who gets to actually know me and not judge by appearances alone.”

I understand what you´ve said!
I have wanted to be liked or loved just by being the man I AM, but I can´t deny people´s longings, neither mine.
Culture has taught us about the model of "beauty": a good body shape, nice looking face, and extra money to spend with liberty, freedom of fears...
I´ve read many sites and the profiles they´ve  proposed to be dating. Many posts were written by women whose essential longs are for monetary status (material comfort). Moral or spiritual values are basically dismissed, undermined I may say, especially if they have children to be raised with the help of a new man at a hand.
In my case, since I would like to remarry a human body (not a soul, not an intangible good spirit) I would think firstly in a face, not in money and its economic importance or its involvement in life issues: I see, then I´d like to go farther.

I lack -personally- many things a lady would think of if she plans to marry: I´m poor, although eager to be moral; while some spiritual values are intended to be improved, just for the betterment of any relationship I may find or develop in the “near” future: I know some handicaps.

Secularism has changed original true values, many things, so it´s important to keep an average body shape, some money, popularity, etc., just for the sake of personal promotion, while certain things are to be sorted out (soon).
